Summary: I&D Healthcare Consultancy is seeking to Contract a Philanthropy and Grants Acquisition writer who will identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding agencies on behalf of I&D Healthcare Consultancy that are in alignment with its strategic plan and operational priorities. SCOPE OF WORK:
  • Preparation of proposals and grant applications, and performance of responsible professional and administrative work in researching, identifying, developing, and responding timely to public and private grant opportunities in areas that support our programs.
  • Responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting data on the performance of program activities that are funded by federal, state, and private funding agencies.
  • Develop and maintain a grant surveillance system to identify, research and evaluate, new public, private, and collaborative grant funding opportunities to advance I&D Healthcare Consultancy strategic plan objectives and other related priorities.
  • Conduct literature reviews that align with and support successful proposal applications.
  • Develop and cultivate activities and professional relationships with public and private funders on behalf of I&D Healthcare Consultancy.
  • Serve as internal and external liaison with external public and private funders and I&D Healthcare teams.
  • Assist in developing an accountability and reporting system to produce periodic and final reports as required by funding sources, and to meet auditing, contract management, and IRS or State of Florida and Massachusetts reporting requirements.
  • Maintain a high level of operational expertise on current grant regulations, policies, and procedures related to federal, state, local, and private grants.
  • Write and send letters of thanks to donors.
  • Solicit cash or in-kind donations or sponsorships from individual, business, or government donors.
  • Develop and maintain a master file on pending grants and contracts.
DELIVERABLES: · Identify and submit a minimum of two (2) Federal Grants of no less than one million dollars each. · Identify and submit six (6) Foundation requests of no less than $100,000 each. · Identify and submit three (3) Philanthropic donations minimally of $10,000 each. · Identify and submit five (5) Community Reinvestment Act Fund (CRA) requests minimally of $10,000 each. · Complete and submit monthly progress reports. Consultant qualifications and roles: I&D Healthcare Consultancy understands that the scope of work requested may be conducted by a single consultant, a consultant group, or by an organization. The proposal should provide the name, title, address, telephone number, and email address for each person engaged in the project. If an organization, consultant group, or partnership of consultants is involved, the proposal should indicate who will serve as the point person for the work. The proposal must describe the consultant’s qualifications to conduct the scope of work activities, expertise, knowledge, and experience. Experience should include examples of conducting similar or related work. The proposal should confirm that the consultant will carry out all of the activities described in the Deliverables above and should include the qualifications of staff assigned to the project. Planned activities: Project Kickoff, approximately December 1, 2022 · Month 1 – Meet with Nevada Partners leads for discussion and answering any process/procedure questions and identify 1 federal grant opportunity and 2 foundation grants · Month 2 – Begin drafting first federal grant application, complete 2 foundation grants, identify 2 additional foundation grants and 1 philanthropic lead. · Month 3 – Submit 1 federal grant, identify next federal grant opportunity, submit 2 foundation grants and identify 2 additional foundation grants. · Month 4 through 6 – submit 2nd federal grant, submit 2 foundation grants, solicit and secure 3 philanthropic funding donations. Project completion with expected deliverable of completed revised document by June 30, 2023. Summary: I&D Healthcare Consultancy is seeking to hire a Data Analyst – Epidemiologist to support a state COVID-19 Unit emergency response and recovery activities. This is a remote position, but a local candidate is preferred. This candidate must be able to provide support a minimum of 35 hours a week minimum, with the ability to work off-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to support COVID-19 Unit response requirements. This position will serve as a general data analyst - epidemiologist focused on an assigned subgroup (ex. school or congregate care populations) or data component (ex. variant data, hospitalizations, wastewater data, etc.) of COVID-19 surveillance. Responsibilities: Essential job functions include:
  • Routine surveillance activities
  • Combining datasets and cleaning up data using SAS (merge and subset data, manage duplicate records, work with both character and numeric data, create tabular reports)
  • Assuring data quality
  • Performing epidemiological analyses
  • Preparing and presenting summary reports
  • Collaborating with community partners and clinicians
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: Due to the nature of this work, the selected candidate must have sufficient education, training, and experience to demonstrate the possession and direct application of the following knowledge and abilities: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A thorough knowledge of descriptive and analytical epidemiologic techniques, research and evaluation methodologies, and biostatistics as described in national standards such as the Council for State and Territorial Epidemiologists' Applied Epidemiology Competencies; strong written and oral communication and presentation skills; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external partners; and related capacities and abilities.
  • Desired skills include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, intermediate SAS, and data processing skills. Candidates should be comfortable working in a team environment, as well as independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple sources of online communication (email, conference calls, Teams) to stay connected in a remote environment.
Education and Experience:
  • Possession of a Master of Public Health, a Master of Science in Epidemiology, or a master's degree in a related health field with specialization in epidemiology.
  • Minimum two years of advanced level experience in data collection and analysis (not including course work)
  • Minimum one year of SAS programming experience (not including coursework)
  • Strong experience with Excel.
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus.
  • SAS certification a plus.
